Bridge Saint-Louis ( French Pont Saint-Louis ) - a bridge in the center of Paris , connects the two islands on the Seine - the western island of Cite and the eastern island of St. Louis , from which it received the name. Established in the years 1968-1970. By its design: a single-span steel beam bridge with a length of 67 m and a width of 16 m. In 2012, automobile traffic on the bridge was stopped, and the bridge became a pedestrian. A popular venue for street performers and musicians.

History
The current bridge is the seventh in this place between the two islands:
- the first bridge was wooden, called Saint-Landry, and did not last long, from 1630 to 1634 ;
- in 1717 the wooden bridge was restored, had seven arches, called Red, by the color of the paint used; It was demolished by a flood of 1795 ;
- in 1804, under the guidance of engineer Dumoustier , a new double-arch bridge was built, 70 m long and 10 m wide, mainly oak; It was demolished in 1811 due to subsidence;
- new suspension bridge since 1842 ;
- 20 years later, the suspension bridge was replaced with a single-arch metal with a span of 64 m; destroyed in 1939 ;
- in 1941 it was replaced by a bridge structure in the form of a metal cage made of iron;
- in 1968 they began to install the current bridge; open for movement in 1970 .
