Nurikabe ( jap. 塗 壁 ) - youkai or spirit, from Japanese folklore. Manifested as a wall, which raises an insurmountable barrier in the way of a passerby or a wanderer traveling at night . All attempts to circumvent this obstacle, which suddenly appeared on the way, are powerless, since the wall is able to spread infinitely in all directions. You can cope with nukaribe by forcing the barrier to disappear if you knock on the bottom of the wall. [one]

Cultural Influence

Nurikabe is one of the characters of the manga and anime " GeGeGe no Kitarou ".
