Crécy-en-Pontieux ( fr. Crécy-en-Ponthieu ) - a commune in the north of France , the region of Hautes-de-France , the Somme department, the district of Abbeville , canton of Rue . The village is located 18 km west of Abbeville and 11 km from the A16 European Motorway. He is known for the Battle of Crescy (1346) - one of the most important battles of the Hundred Years War .
