Content
History
The street is named in memory of the honored artist of the RSFSR V.D. Ballaev .
The street was formed in the second half of the XIX century. Marked on the "Map of the Caucasus" as Crafts Street . On March 15, 1930 it was renamed the Presidium of the city council of V convocation in Chernoglaz street . It was named in honor of the Soviet party leader Joseph Moiseevich Chernoglaz .
On June 16, 2000, Chernoglaza Street was renamed Ballaev Street.

- 9 - Ossetian playwright Elbyzdyko Britaev lived in this house from 1918 to 1923 [1] .
Transport
From 1904 to 1936, a narrow-gauge tram line ran along the street from Teatralny Lane to Sleptsovskaya Street .
