The village adjoins the Selizharovo district center and is located on the left bank of the Selizharovka River, above the railway bridge. The only street so far goes along the river and passes into a dirt road leading to the station of the Selizharovo settlement.
The population of the 2002 census was 51, 20 men and 31 women.
Recently, on the territory between Baragino and Kazitsino, plots for individual housing construction were allotted, and to the north of the village, on the former agricultural land, construction of a cottage settlement is planned.
Content
History
According to the data of [2] of 1859, the official village of Baragino of Ostashkovsky district , on the left side of the Rzhevsky tract, 46 versts from Ostashkov, at the Selizharovka river, 9 yards, 70 inhabitants.
In 1940, in the village of 35 yards, it is part of the Selizharovsky Village Council of the Kirovsky District of the Kalinin Region . During the Great Patriotic War , 12 natives of the village were killed [3] .
In the 1970s and 80s, in the village a team of the collective farm named. Frunze, dairy farm, equestrian yard.
In 1997 - 24 farms, 52 inhabitants.
