Arc ( French Arc ) - a river in France , flows in the department of Savoy . Left tributary of Ysera . The length of the river is 127.5 [1] , the catchment area is about 2000 km². Several hydraulic structures were built on the river.

The river originates in the Grey Alps west of the peak of La Levanne (3640 m), flows through the French department of Savoy , open to the north in a semicircle, covers the hilly valley of Maurienne , passes by its main city Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and flows into Isère at Chamousse . In the upper Arka Valley, a significant road leads through the Alps ; the railway from Chambery through Mont Cenis to Susa and Turin was also built here .
