Jean Senkarbr or Senk-Arbr ("Five Trees", fr. Jean Cinquarbres ), so called from his Latin name John Quanquaboreus ( lat. Johannes Quinquarboreus ; 1514 , Aurillac in Auvergne - 1587 ) - XVI century French gebraist , professor Jewish and Syriac at the Royal College of Paris; author of a textbook of Jewish grammar (1546).

He studied oriental languages from Francois Watabl and since 1554 taught Jewish and Syriac at the Royal College ; became dean of the royal professors in 1587 , the year of his death.
