Club career

Sergio is a graduate of the Espanyola Football Academy. On April 24, 2005, in his match against Zaragoza , he made his debut in La Liga , replacing Didier Domi in the 85th minute [1] . Despite the fact that during the season it was the only appearance on the field, the defender became the owner of the Spanish Cup .

In January 2007, Sanchez went on loan to Real Madrid Castilla , playing in the second strongest Spanish division. In Segund, Sergio spent 20 matches for the capital's club and at the end of the season went back to Espanyol, but the parrots again leased the defender. Sanchez set off to defend the colors of the Santander Racing until the end of the 2007/08 season. On September 16, in a match against Levante , Sergio made his debut for a new club [2] . In the summer of 2016, Sanchez moved to the Russian Rubin with his former Malaga coach Javi Gracia [12] . On August 1, in a match against Perm Amkar , he made his debut in the Premier League [13] . In the summer of 2017, Sanchez on loan returned to Espanyol [14] .

International Career

Sergio was called up to the Spanish national teams of various ages from 16 years old. As part of the youth team of the country in 2009, he participated in the youth world championship .
