Content
History
Initially, the settlement was called Greenbriar. Then, at the suggestion of David Long, impressed by Italian Parma , the name was changed to Parma.
On March 7, 1826, a meeting was held at which they decided to build a new village. On April 3, 1826, a settlement council was created.
For a long time, Parma remained an agricultural village. In 1849, the first stone house was built here, it has survived to the present.
In 1850, the population census counted 1,329 people in the village.
