Debut regulation Soosyrva-N

The debut regulation of Soosyrva-N is one of the sets of rules for setting the first five moves in renju . It was proposed by a number of players as an extension of Soosyrva's opening rules .

Rules

The sequence of moves implied by the rule is as follows.

  • The first player (temporary blacks) makes one of 26 canonical openings.
  • His opponent is entitled to a color change.
  • The player who receives the white color puts 4 stones in any unoccupied point and announces how many options for the fifth move should be offered in the game, this number can be from 1 to N (this is different from Soosyrv’s rules).
  • His opponent is entitled to a color change.
  • A player who receives a black color makes as many fifth moves as previously announced. Moves leading to positions symmetrical to each other without taking into account the distances to the edges of the board are prohibited.
  • The player who received the white color selects one 5th move from the proposed ones and makes the sixth move.

Short Description

This rule gives a wide variety of new playable options in a significant number of openings, especially white ones. Debuts, very strong for blacks (such as 2B, 2D, 4D, 4B, etc.), become possible with a sufficiently large N (say, N = 10). The regulation was certified in 2011.

Tournaments Using Rules

The rules of Soosyrva-5 were used in the Premier League of the Russian Championship 2011 [1] and will be used as the regulations of the Premier League of the Russian Championship-2013 [2] .
