Marilyn Manson

Brian Hugh Warner was born in Canton, USA. He was the only child in the family of furniture dealer Hugh Warner and nurse Barbara Warner, with German and English roots. In his autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, he described his grandfather's sexual fetishes that greatly influenced his worldview.

As a child, he attended the Episcopal Church with his mother, although his father was a Catholic. Brian attended High School Christian Heritage High School from first to tenth grade. He was later transferred to Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale , Florida , from which he graduated in 1987 .

He is a distant relative (fourth cousin of double remoteness) to Patrick Buchanan .

Music

After Brian graduated from high school in Florida , he found a job in a local music magazine. There he acted as a reporter and music critic , writing poetry in his free time. In 1989, Brian, along with guitarist Scott Putesky, created his own rock band . He decided to take on a new name: Marilyn Manson, consisting of fragments of the names of two completely different people: movie star Marilyn Monroe and the killer maniac Charles Manson . Subsequently, other members of the group followed the leader’s example, choosing pseudonyms for themselves according to a similar pattern (Scott Putesky turned into Daisy Berkowitz, Brian Tyutyunnik into Olivia Newton Bundy, Peri Pandrea into Za Za Spec, etc.)

The band's original name is Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids: Manson sang, and Berkovits acted as the main guitarist and programmer of the drum machine . The earliest known band included: Marilyn Manson ( vocals ), Daisy Berkowitz ( guitarist and drum machine operator), Olivia Newton-Bundy ( bass ), Za Za Spec ( English Zsa Zsa Speck ) ( keyboards ). Newton Bundy and Speck soon left, and instead, bassist Gidget Gein ( born Gidget Gein , died October 9, 2008, aged 39 from a heroin overdose) and keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy ( born Madonna Wayne Gacy ) .

At first, the group acted as the opening act for Nine Inch Nails . Trent Reznor liked the young band and became a friend and informal mentor to its members. Thinly thought-out advertising campaign immediately brought to the fore the leader and vocalist of the group, leaving everyone else in the shadow. The logo of the group he created consisted of the inscription “MARILYN MANSON”, made in the style of horror films (“dripping” font ), above the inscription there was a tender look of Marilyn Monroe, and below - the crazy look of Charles Manson. Almost immediately, a series of souvenirs with this image was released; In addition, Manson’s extensive communications in journalistic circles helped to advertise the group.

The concert performances of the group were characterized by the widespread use of various attractions; everything that could enhance the impression was used: sandwiches with peanut butter that were scattered from the stage, crucified or imprisoned in the cells of a girl, bald goat heads, nudity and the use of an open flame. Gacy (keyboards) had a small booth, signed by Pogo's Playhouse, which contained his synthesizers. Berkovits could play in a skirt, a bra and a long wig of blond hair, his guitar hung very low and a cigarette stuck out of his mouth, complementing the image of a “bad guy”. All this was used to get the maximum effect.

In December 2010, starred in the video of the Brunei alternative group D'hask , in which actress Bai Lin and singer JoJo also took part ^[6] .

Manson made his debut as an actor in the David Lynch film " Highway to Nowhere, " which was released in 1997 . In 1998, Manson starred in the movie “The Killing Queens, ” which also starred his girlfriend Rose McGowan . In 2003, he starred as Christina in the movie Club Mania . In 2004, Manson appears in Argento 's Asian film Chicks . In 2007, Manson played the role of a bartender in the movie "The Vampire ." Manson worked on his own project in a big movie. He made the film Phantasmagoria: Visions of Lewis Carroll, in which he was to play the role of Lewis Carroll, author of the book Alice in Wonderland. Brian is also known for his artistic abilities. He painted with watercolors from 1999 to this day. At the moment, more than 150 paintings have been painted. Manson's paintings were exhibited at exhibitions in Moscow , Los Angeles , Miami , Athens , Paris , Berlin , Vienna and other cities.

In January 2011, Manson, together with renowned surrealistic director David Lynch, released a joint catalog book of his own works, which were shown at Manson's exhibition of paintings “Genealogies of Pain”, held in June-July 2010 in Vienna, Austria ^[11] .

From 1992 to 1997 he met with Missy Romero.

In 1998, Manson met Rose McGowan , with whom he was later engaged, but in 2000 the engagement was canceled.

On November 28, 2005, the singer marries Dita von Teese , but on December 29, 2006, Dita filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."

From December 2006 to October 2008, he met with the young actress Evan Rachel Wood ^[12] . Met with an American porn actress and model Stoy from March to December 2009. In December 2009, Marilyn Manson renewed relations with Evan Rachel Wood ^[13] , and in January 2010 made her an offer, to which she agreed ^{[14] [15]} .
