Biography
Rene Paul Remon Kapuron was born in 1921 [1] .
During the 1950s and 1960s , Kapuron was responsible for the work on the Madagascar tree flora [2] . He described more than 360 species of plants [5] . The species Takhtajania perrieri was first described by him in 1963 as part of the genus Bubbia , known from Australia , New Caledonia, and Lord Howe Island [3] .
René Paul Remon Kapuron died on August 24, 1971 .
