The younger brother of the Metropolitan of Hong Kong Nectarios (Cilis) .
Biography
After graduating from the seminary in Athens, he studied at the theological school of the University of Athens , and also took a number of support courses: journalism, diction, symbolism of the word, cinematography (in Greece and abroad), assistance to victims of natural disasters (at East Mennonite University in the United States on a scholarship US government), traditional medicine (specializing in first aid and starving in Thailand), teaching Greek as a second language (at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens).
For 15 years he worked as a journalist in church and secular publications, as well as an employee and producer of radio programs and editor of news programs for a number of radio stations: Radio "Art and Word" of Thessaloniki Municipality, Radio Piraeus Metropolis, Radio Hellas Church. Also, as a layman, he worked in the Piraeus Metropolitanate as a teacher of Sunday schools, a mentor of summer camps, an employee of the Youth Department, a representative at youth conferences
Since 1998, he regularly visited the Hong Kong Metropolis as a volunteer.
On January 25, 2003, Metropolitan Nikita of Hong Kong (Lulias) was ordained deacon , and on January 26, he was ordained a priest by the same hierarchy and was appointed episcopal bishop in the Hong Kong Metropolis. July 19, 2003 was elevated to the rank of archimandrite .
After the December tsunami of 2004, which swept Southeast Asia, he organized the program of psychological and material support to the victims, distributing humanitarian aid, restoring hospitals and schools in Thailand and Indonesia (Nias Island).
From March 2005 to November 2011, he worked as secretary of the Hong Kong Metropolis.
On November 3, 2011, at a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople, he was elected Metropolitan to the Singapore Chair [1] .
On November 21, 2011, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, accompanied by bishops from the Synod in the Vvedensky Church of Peru in Constantinople (Istanbul), was ordained bishop and elevated to the rank of Metropolitan of Singapore. The consecration was performed by: Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, Metropolitan of Nicaea Constantine (Harisiadis) , Metropolitan of Principonis Jacob (Stefanidis) , Metropolitan of Philadelphia Meliton (Karas) , Metropolitan of Samos and Ikari Eusebius (Pistolis ) , Metropolitan of Hong Kong Metropolitan Chisinau , Metropolitan of Kalliopolis and Matis Stefan (Dinidis) , Metropolitan of Prussia Elpidifor (Lambriniadis) [2] .
On February 12, 2012, in the rented former Roman Catholic chapel Chaims (CHIJMES Hall) in Singapore, his intronization took place [3] , which was attended by: Metropolitan Nektariy of Hong Kong (Cilis) , who led the Liturgy as the official representative of the Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew, Metropolitan of Samos and Ikari Eusebius (Pistolis) , Metropolitan Ignatius of Dimitriad (Georgopakulos) , Metropolitan of Dardanelles Nikita (Lulias) and Metropolitan of Korea Ambrose (Zographos) [4] .
In addition to native Greek, speaks English, as well as a little Italian, French and Jewish. Knows sign language and braille .
