Biography

He was born in the village of Gribanovo of the Glumovsky volost of the Yuryev district of the Vladimir province in a peasant family. In 1896, the family moved to live in the village of Ivorovo, Gorodishchensky volost. He received his primary education at a parish school, and then at a two-year school in the village of Berezhok. After graduation, he was accepted to study at the Penza teacher’s seminary, after which he worked in a specialty in Penza district. With the outbreak of World War I, he became a soldier in the tsarist army and took a personal part in hostilities.

After the war, he returned to his small homeland, where he continued to work as a teacher. During the period of revolution and civil war, he was a volost school instructor, chairman of the county emergency commission for the elimination of illiteracy. In the fall of 1921, Dmitriev left for Moscow and took up writing work. He participated in several literary studios and associations, met with Moscow writers and poets. The first publications of T.P. Dmitrieva date back to 1923 .

The most notable of his works was the novel "Green Swell", which tells about the green movement of the first years of Soviet power in the territory of the Vladimir-Suzdal landslip and surrounding lands. The novel was first published in the journal Oktyabr (No. No. 3,4,5,6 for 1926 ), and then in 1927 in the publishing house Priboy ( Leningrad ) and in 1929 in the publishing house Zemlya i Fabrika it published two separate editions. In 1935, T. Dmitriev was admitted to the Union of Writers of the USSR .

After the Great Patriotic War, he worked in the journal " New World ", and published a lot in the journal "Athlete-fisherman". He lived in Moscow on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, before that - on Petrovka Street.
