The distance to the district center is 27 km.
The Vishkil rural settlement is located along the Vyatka federal highway south of Kotelnich . It borders the territory of the Pokrovsky rural settlement from the north and northwest. It borders the territory of the Morozovsky rural settlement from the south and southwest. It borders the territory of the Orichevsky district of the Kirov region from the east.
History
The Vishkil rural settlement was established on January 1, 2006 according to the Law of the Kirov Region dated December 7, 2004 No. 284-ЗО [2] .

Economy
There are no industrial enterprises on the territory of the Vishkil rural settlement. On the territory of the rural settlement there are 13 enterprises and organizations, 1 agricultural enterprise, 3 small business enterprises. Capital investments in construction on the territory of a rural settlement are not conducted.
Transportation
The Vyatka federal highway, 22 km long, runs through the territory of the Vishkil rural settlement. The central street of Vishkil village is asphalted for 3 km. Only 28 km of roads are paved.
Passenger transportation is carried out by the Kotelnich Production Automobile Association on the Kotelnich-Vishkil-Kotelnich route 2 times a week and on the Kotelnich-Vishkil-Razliv-Kotelnich route 4 times a week.
Social Infrastructure
The population of the Vishkil rural settlement is served by the village library named after Multanovsky F. Ya. Book Fund of the Library 9124. Readers 371 people. Visits per year - 3052; book distribution - 7655. Interest clubs are organized at the library, as well as at the Leisure Center. The population participating in cultural events is 132 people. From May to September, there are local resorts and medical and recreational areas of LLC Vishkil Recreation Center and Vishkil DOOTs.
Ecology
30 kilometers in the north-east in the village of Maradykovsky, the Orichevsky district, a plant for the destruction of a chemical arsenal of federal significance is operating. There are no other sources of air pollution in and around the municipality. The degree of environmental tension is satisfactory.
