Content
History
On July 8, 1948, the Holy See established the Apostolic Prefecture of Kilva, separating it from the Apostolic Vicariate of Fireplace (now the Diocese of Fireplace ).
On August 24, 1962, the Apostolic Vicariate of Kilva Kasengi was transformed into a diocese by the Bulla Candida Christi of Rome Pope John XXIII .
