The Upper Bern dialect ( German: Berner Oberländisch, Oberländerberndeutsch ) is a German dialect , one of the Swiss dialects of the (mountainous) Alemannic area . Distributed in the Swiss canton of Bern (Oberland).

First of all, the Upper Berne dialect is considered to be a dialect widespread in the region of the rivers Lyuchine , Kander , Simme and the Zanenland region. The dialects of Hazlital and the Brienz commune in the east of Berner-Oberland are considered an independent dialect group. From the side of Lake Tuna, the Bernese dialect is advancing. Verkhnebernsky varies from region to region.
