Diego Reyes is a graduate of the America Club Academy (Mexico City) . April 25, 2010 he made his debut in the championship of Mexico for the main team. He scored the first goal on April 17, 2011.

On December 17, 2012, Reyes moved to Porto , however, he will be a member of the club since the summer of 2013 [2] .

On July 14, 2015 he moved to Real Sociedad on a rental basis for a period of one season.

Team Career

In 2008, he made his debut in the junior national team of Mexico (under 17 years old), played at the 2009 World Cup and the South American Championship. Total played in 6 games for the youth team.

In 2010-2011 he was involved in the youth team (under 20 years old) , became the bronze medalist of the 2011 World Cup and the winner of the CONCACAF Championship . In total, he played 11 matches at the youth level.

Since 2011, playing for the Olympic team of Mexico (under 23 years old). In 2011, with his team he became the winner of the Pan American Games . At the 2012 London Olympics football tournament, he took part in all six matches and won a gold medal.

On July 5, 2011, at the age of 18, he made his debut in the first national team of Mexico in the match of the final tournament of the America's Cup 2011 against the national team of Chile and became the youngest participant in this tournament. At the 2011 America's Cup, Reyes took part in all three matches of his team.

In the summer of 2019, he was called up to the national team to participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . In the first match in the group round against the national team of Cuba, he scored a goal in the 38th minute and, together with the team, achieved a victory with the score 7: 0.
