Biography
Born on April 25, 1974 in the city of Birch of the Brest region of the Belorussian SSR (now the Republic of Belarus ). Until 1988, he studied at secondary school No. 1 of the city of Birch . He began to engage in sports in the athletics section at the local Children and Youth Sports School . There, during classes in general physical training, he became interested in kettlebells . He graduated from the 8th grade in a secondary school in the village of Leonidovo, Poronaysky District, Sakhalin Region in 1989. Then he entered the Ussuriisk Suvorov Military School [2] , which he graduated in 1991. During his studies, he began to regularly participate in various kettlebell lifting competitions, including the championship of the Primorsky Territory. After the Suvorov School in 1996 he graduated from the Military Space Academy. A. F. Mozhaisk city of St. Petersburg . He played for the Academy team. While serving in the Russian army, he fulfilled the standard of an international-class master of sports . In 2004 he graduated from the Institute for Retraining and Further Training of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus. He served as the head of the center for training, advanced training and retraining of personnel in the professions of workers and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus . On May 26, 2014 he was appointed head of the state educational institution “Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training” of the Ministry of Emergencies [3] [4] . VV Signevich is the world champion in weight lifting 2000, 2001, 2002, 2008 [5] . In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, he took part in the sports and entertainment programs of the National Television of the Republic of Belarus (ONT) “Clash of the cities” (2008), “Clash of the Titans” (2009), “Clash of the Titans” (2010), “Clash of the Titans” (2011 ), "Your Territory" (2011).

- 2001 world champion in Kazan in the long cycle in the weight category up to 90 kg with the result of 87 lifts;
- World Champion 2002 in Kazan in the long cycle in the weight category up to 90 kg with the result of 87 lifts;
- 2008 world champion in Chatillon , Italy in biathlon in the weight category over 90 kg with a total of 287 points (jerk 116, jerk 171);
- silver medalist of the 2003 World Cup in Kazan in the long cycle in the weight category up to 90 kg with a result of 91 climbs;
- silver medalist of the 2007 World Championships in San Diego , USA in the biathlon in the weight category up to 90 kg with a total of 283 points (push 125, jerk 158);
- bronze medalist of the 2002 World Cup in Athens , Greece in biathlon in the weight category up to 90 kg with a total of 198 points (jerk 122, jerk 76 + 76) and 258 points;
- bronze medalist of the 2004 World Cup in Hamburg , Germany in the biathlon in the weight category over 90 kg with a total of 268 points (jerk 121, jerk 72 + 75);
- bronze medalist of the 2004 World Cup in Kazan, Russia in the long cycle in the weight category up to 90 kg with a result of 90 lifts.
Awards and titles
- In April 2009, the Regional Executive Committee of the Brest Region was awarded the title "Person of the Year" in the field of physical education, sports and tourism for 2008 [6] .
- By decree No. 471 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated September 24, 2009, Vadim Signevich was awarded the title Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus for many years of fruitful work, high professional skills and achievements in the development of sports [7] .
