ISO 3166-2: SA is an International Organization for Standardization standard that defines geocodes. It is a subset of the ISO 3166-2 standard pertaining to Saudi Arabia . The standard covers 13 provinces of Saudi Arabia. Each geocode consists of two parts: Alpha2 code according to ISO 3166-1 for Saudi Arabia - SA and an additional code written with a hyphen. An additional two-character code is formed by a two-digit number. The geocodes of the provinces of Saudi Arabia are a subset of the codes of the top-level domain - SA assigned to Saudi Arabia in accordance with the standards of ISO 3166 MA .
