Biography
Born in the village of Nizhny Kazanishche in the family of the honorable Uzden Dada from the Chartillery family, mother Xuydu, sister of the wealthy landowner Patali Tonaev. By nationality Kumyk . Community Activities
Abdul-Basir Haji, one of the famous religious leaders of Dagestan during the civil war and the establishment of Soviet power. In the years 1915-1917 regimental mullah in the cavalry corps [2] . In 1917, a deputy of the first mountain congress, a member of the spiritual council of the Dagestan region, together with Nazhmudin Gotsinsky, who was elected mufti of the North Caucasus at the congress, and Jamalutdin-kadi Karabudakhkentsky. Gotsinsky in his desire to create a new imamat in Dagestan. During the Civil War

Temporarily, before being elected by the People’s Congress, I have already appointed Sheikh ul-Islam Abdul-Basir Haji Mustafayev. I urge the people in all Sharia affairs to obey the orders of Sheikh-ul-Islam Abdul-Basir Haji Mustafayev . " [4] . On September 21, 1919, the temporary Sheikh-ul-Islam of Dagestan, Abdul-Basir Haji, sent a letter to Ali-Haji Akushinsky and Osman Osmanov, the head of the rebel headquarters, with a proposal to stop the bloody struggle against Denikin and conclude peace. This proposal later prompted Ali-Haji Akushinsky to negotiate with Denikin on the conditions for peace. Taking into account the hardships and extreme exhaustion of the Dagestan people, he took this step; on the other hand, he became afraid of the ever-increasing role of the Bolsheviks in the Defense Council and the approach of the Red Army to the borders of Dagestan. In 1919, Abdul-Basir-haji Mustafayev was appointed chairman of the Sharia Military Court, many Soviet-era historians accused him of having signed a sentence to U.
