Biography
Nikolai Andreevich Russkikh [1] was born in 1920 in Ufa. In 1937 he graduated from the art department of the Ufa Theater and Art School . Painter. He worked in the field of easel and monumental painting.
In 1939 he was drafted into the Red Army and served there until 1945 . He participated in the battles, was seriously wounded, wounded.
Member of the Union of Artists since 1958 . Member of the CPSU. He conducted a large public work: he was elected a board member of the Bashkir Union of Artists, a member and secretary of the party bureau of the Union of Artists. Chairman of the Audit Commission of the Board of the Bashkir Artists' Union (since 1970)
Honored Artist of the BASSR, 1977 .
N. Russkikh - portrait master - “Portrait of a surgeon N. Gataullin”, group portrait - paintings “Song”, “What do you not sleep for girls”, “Team of communist labor”, “Four”. Together with the artist A.V. Panteleev, he made a trip to the cities of Central Asia. As a result of the trip at the Ufa exhibitions, a series of Central Asian landscapes and still lifes of Panteleev and Russian (“Bukhara jugs”) appeared.
Pictures of Boris Yakovlevich Palekh are stored in the Art Museum. Nesterov in Ufa and private collections.
