Andrei Mikhailovich Pedan (born July 3, 1993 , in Kaunas , Lithuania ) is a Russian professional hockey player , defender who plays for the team of the Ak Bars Continental Hockey League .

Career
Club
Andrei, being a pupil of “ Wings of the Soviets ”, moved to the Moscow “ Dynamo ”. The pedan was selected at the 2010 KHL Junior Draft at number 18 under the Dynamo Moscow team. Also in 2010, he was selected under the 32nd number in the draft of the Canadian Hockey League by the Gelf Storm team and in the same year joined the team. In 2011, Andrei Pedan was selected at the 2011 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders team under the 63rd overall number.
On April 3, 2013, he signed a three-year rookie contract with the New York Islanders NHL club [1] . Andrei was sent to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers club of the American Hockey League , where he played for the Islanders farm club on the terms of an amateur trial contract [1] .
On November 25, 2014, the Pedan was traded to the Vancouver Canucks Club [2] . In the 2015/16 season he made his debut in the NHL [3] . In October 2017, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins [4] , but in the 2017/18 season he played for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins farm club. In the summer of 2018, he signed a two-year contract with Ak Bars.
International
Andrey, as part of the youth national team of Russia, took part in the Subway Super Series 2010 and 2011 . Bronze medalist at the 2011 World Junior Championships.
In November 2018, he was called up to the national team for the first stage of Euro Hockey Tour at the Karjala Cup. In the first game he scored a debut puck for the Russian team. He took part in 3 matches and won the Karjala Cup as part of the Russian national team.
In December 2018, he was again called up to the Russian national team for the second stage of Euro Hockey for the Channel One Cup, where he spent two matches and became the owner of the Channel One Cup.
In February 2019, he was called up for the third stage of Euro Hockey.
