Amalosia (Latin) is a genus of lizards of the family Diplodactylidae of the infrared squad gecko . Common in eastern and northern Australia . They live in dry eucalyptus light forests , coastal forests and wastelands, among rocky outcrops, in bush thickets, sometimes on the outskirts of cities. The length of the body without a tail is 6-8 cm. The color is soft, masking, brown, gray and greenish tones. On the upper side of the body are two longitudinal zigzag dark lines running from the nostrils to the tail, where they break up into many dark spots and short stripes. On the head and the back between these lines, the color is lighter than on the sides. In some species, the lines touch and form an ornament in the form of rings arranged in a chain along the back. The abdominal side is monochromatic whitish. Mainly arboreal lifestyle. They breed by laying eggs, there are always only two eggs in a clutch. [one]
