Diocese of Lira ( Latin: Dioecesis Lirensis ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Lira , Uganda . The Diocese of Lyra is included in the Metropolitanate of Gulu. The cathedral of the Diocese of Lira is the Church of the Holy Ugandan Martyrs in the city of Lira.

History
On July 12, 1968, Pope Paul VI issued the Bull Firmissima spe ducti , which established the Diocese of Lyra, separating it from the Diocese of Gulu.
