The First Republic Square ( Georgian პირველი რესპუბლიკის მოედანი ), the former Rose Revolution Square ( Georgian ვარდების რევოლუციის მოედანი ) is an area in the center of Tbilisi , in the urban district of Vera at the western end of Rustaveli Avenue .

History
The square was opened in 1983 and named the Republic Square. December 3, 2005 was renamed the Rose Revolution Square. May 26, 2018 was renamed the First Democratic Republic Square, the event was timed to coincide with the centenary of independence of the Georgian State.
Attractions
In 2011, a giant metal sculpture was installed on the square in the form of a two-wheeled bicycle eight meters long and four meters high, with two handlebars on both sides. The author is a famous French artist and architect Jean Dupuis . [one]
