Biography

Born May 16, 1919 in the village of Ust-Anuy, Bystroystoksky district , Altai Territory in a peasant family. In 1931, the family moved to the village of Mundybash in the Tashtagol district of the Kemerovo region for a new building. He combined his studies in 10th grade with work as a teacher of the Russian language.

In 1938 he entered the literary faculty of Tomsk Pedagogical Institute . While studying, he sang in the institute’s choir, spoke as a reader at art shows, and taught German at school No. 8 in Tomsk. In January 1942 (early graduation) he graduated from the institute and was sent to his native school to work.

In August 1942 he was mobilized for military service, and in December 1944 he was dismissed from military service as a limited one, and then removed from military registration.

Since January 1945, he worked as a teacher of the Russian language and literature at Mundybash secondary school.

In 1947, he organized an orchestra of Russian folk instruments at the school, which took part in the ISME International Conference in Moscow in 1970 and received high marks along with groups from centers of the Union republics and foreign countries. The orchestra still exists.

Awards and titles

He was awarded the Order of Lenin [1] , the Order of the Red Banner of Labor , the Order of Honor [2] , and the medal "For Victory over Germany . " Honorary citizen of the Kemerovo region , Hero of Kuzbass (posthumous).
