The 14th division of the NKVD troops of the USSR for the protection of railway structures is the military formation of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War .

History
Formed in accordance with the order of the NKVD of the USSR No. 00922 of August 3, 1944 .
The division’s management was formed from the personnel of similar units of the 28th separate brigade of the NKVD of the USSR for the protection of railways that had just been disbanded in Kirov. The structure of the division includes the previously formed: 152nd regiment, 212nd regiment, 213rd regiment, 23rd separate armored train, 24th separate armored train, 25th separate armored train, 53rd separate armored train.
As part of the active Red Army from August 3, 1944 to February 10, 1945 ; On May 9, 1945, the 329th regiment of the division was part of the Active Red Army. She took part in the Belarusian , Baltic , East Prussian and East Pomeranian strategic offensive operations.
Division tasks: protection of railways, road bridges; participation in the elimination of armed underground nationalist anti-Soviet detachments ; participation in guarding the rear of the Active Red Army; participation in the protection of internal law and order; assistance to the border troops in guarding the state border of the USSR.
After the end of World War II, the 14th division of the NKVD troops (from 1946 - the Ministry of Internal Affairs) of the USSR carried out operational work to combat banditry.

- 152nd infantry regiment of the NKVD of the USSR for the protection of railways - from September 17, 1944, headquarters in the city of Rezekne [3] ; since December 5, 1944 - in the city of Riga ; from December 1946 - the 152nd Infantry Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR for the Protection of Particularly Important Industrial Enterprises and Railways: disbanded May 15, 1951

The division was disbanded in accordance with the order of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 00248 of May 15, 1951 and the order of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 00665 of September 17, 1951. The personnel was transferred to the militarized guard of the 1st category of the Ministry of Railways of the USSR and the Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry of the USSR.
