Golden Match

At that time in the region there was a conflict between Moldova and the Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic . In 4 matches of the last two rounds , the Moldavian Football Federation decided to count the draws.

As a result, “ Tiligul ” and “ Zimbru ” scored the same number of points, and on June 28 a “golden match” was appointed, the venue of which determined the city of Balti .

But in connection with the military conflict, the Tiraspol residents were unable to leave for the meeting, and the capital's Zimbru was declared the champion of Moldova in 1992 [1] .
