Traffic load
Smirnovskaya street is one of the busiest city streets. This is due to the location at the end of the street of the bus station providing residents with access to the Lyubertsy station , and, to a large extent, with the reconstruction of the transport interchange at the intersection with Novoryazanskoye Shosse . Also, congestion is affected by a single-level intersection with Oktyabrsky Avenue , popularly known as the “Cross”. At this point, at rush hour, a traffic jam is formed that holds traffic flows of both highways. The problem can be solved by the construction of an overpass or interchange here , as well as the reconstruction of an underground pedestrian crossing with exits on all four sides of the intersection, but so far there are no such plans in the development prospects of Lyubertsy.
Perspectives
In the future, it is planned to build a backup of Smirnovskaya Street from the intersection with Moskovskaya Street. It is assumed that the understudy will pass between the city park and the Panki-Dzerzhinskaya railway line, go under the Oktyabrsky Avenue overpass over the railway and connect to the now dead end passage that runs along the bridge to the tunnel on Volkovskaya Street. However, the construction period is constantly delayed [1] .
House Numbering
The numbering of houses on Smirnovskaya street starts from the intersection with Kalarash street , but the passage from this intersection to Dzerzhinsky highway is also considered to be the street. On some old map maps, this section was assigned to the Dzerzhinsky highway.
Noteworthy buildings and structures
On September 5, 2015, on the Smirnovskaya street, the sculptural composition “Guys from Our Courtyard” (sculptor Alexander Rozhnikov) was dedicated to Nikolai Rastorguev and the Lyube group [2] .
