Amateur career

The first major success in the international amateur ring came to Denis in 2010 . Denis won the championship of the International University Sports Federation , defeating the experienced Kazakh boxer, Asian champion Gani Zhailauov in the final. After this championship, Denis moved to a higher weight category.

In 2011, Denis went to Baku to participate in the World Cup . In the first match with a slight advantage in a competitive battle, Denis was able to defeat the favorite of the tournament, Rognel Iglesias (19-19 +). Berinchik confidently won all the following rivals with a big advantage. The famous Briton Tom Stalker defeated in the semifinal, and in the final, he controversially lost to the Brazilian Everton Lopez (23:26). During the match, Berinchik knocked down Lopez several times, but the Brazilian was awarded the victory [1] .

2012 Olympics

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he performed in the under 64 kg category. The first fight of this tournament was also very difficult for Denis, and Berinchik with a slight advantage outboxed the Swede, Anthony Igit. Then, more confidently, Denis defeated the Australian Jeff Horne . In the semifinals, Denis defeated the Mongolian boxer Monch Erdene Uranchimegiina .

In the final, Denis was opposed by an experienced rival, Cuban Roniel Iglesias Sotolongos . In the second battle, the Cuban was more accurate and was able to more convincingly confront Denis and took all the rounds with a slight advantage. Denis lost with a score of 15:22 and took the silver of the Olympics [2] .

At the London Olympics, Denis was remembered for the fact that he marked hopak all the victories in this tournament.

Universiade 2013

At the summer Universiade , which was held from July 6 to 17 in Kazan , Denis represented Ukraine in boxing, in the weight category up to 64 kg, and won a bronze award. In one sixteenth, the Ukrainian defeated the Czech Zdenek Chladka 3-0. In the quarterfinal, he defeated Kazakh Aidar Amirzakov with the same score. This victory guaranteed Berinchik a bronze award. In the semifinals, the athlete met with Russian Rajab Butaev . In particular, in the first round, the judges unanimously gave the victory to the Russian boxer. After the second round, only one of the judges gave the Ukrainian boxer a rating of 10 points. And in the third round, the judges again chose Rajab Butaev. In the overall standings, the score was in favor of the Russian: 1st referee: 28:26, 2nd referee: 29:25, 3rd referee: 29:25

Semi-Professional Career

In the fall of 2012, he entered the tournament of the world boxing series as part of the Ukrainian Atamans team.

Berynchik’s entry into the ring was always brightly accompanied by national symbols, and caused additional excitement with his theatrical production. Denis fought brightly and very spectacularly. Denis performed in the weight category up to 61 kg, which forced him to often lose weight, and this did not allow him to perform often. Denis confidently won the first two fights. In the third battle, as part of a semi-final away match, Denis was opposed by the Croatian legionnaire of the Italian team, Branimir Stankovic . The duel was quite competitive, but the judges declined victory in favor of the “home” boxer. Denis was officially defeated [3] .

 
About the debut of Denis Berynchyk (fight with Tarik Madni)

He took part in the 2013-2014 season as part of the Ukrainian chieftains. He spent two fights, in the first he defeated a boxer from the German team, Harutyunyan Artyom, and in the second he lost a close judging decision to a boxer from Russia, the winner of the Universiade 2013, Rajab Butaev.

Professional career

On June 4, 2015, Berinchik signed a promotion contract with the Klitschko Brothers company ( K2 Promotions ) [4] .

On August 29, 2015, he successfully made his debut in the pro arena ahead of schedule defeating the Belgian Tarik Madni.

December 22, 2018 prepares for the fight for the title of WBO International. Opponent Oleg Malinovsky clears WBO European Champion title.

On December 23, 2018, Berinchik defeated Filipino Roseki Cristobal by technical knockout and became the WBO lightweight champion.

On April 20, 2019, Berinchik defeated Japanese boxer Nihito Arahava in the first title defense [5] .
