Content
History
The village was founded as a German colony on August 3, 1767 by the summoner Baron Boregard. According to other sources [2], the colony was founded between 1764 and 1766.
Ernestinendorf received the name in honor of the daughter of Baron Beauregard. By decree of February 26, 1768 on the renaming of German colonies, it retained its name. Klaus also indicates the second name of the colony - Beckersdorf .
In the XIX century, the village belonged to the Ekaterinenstadt volost of the Nikolaev district of the Samara province. The village had two schools (zemstvo and parish) and a church.
In 1915 it was renamed Berezovka.
After the autonomy of the Volga Germans, the village was the administrative center of the Ernestinendorf village council of the Marxstadt canton of the Volga Germans republic. In 1926, in the Ernestinendorf Village Council, in addition to Berezovka, the village of the Forest Gatehouse entered. [3]
On August 28, 1941, a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region was issued [4] . The German population was deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan, the village, like other settlements of the Marxstadt canton, the composition of the Saratov region was included
