Museum of the Castle of the Dukes of Württemberg - a museum of the history of the castle of Montbeliard (the Principality of Montbeliard ), located in the French city of Montbeliard in the castle of the Dukes of Württemberg with the same name. The museum presents collections of fine arts , arts and crafts and contemporary art . Also within the walls of the castle is the Museum of Archeology and Natural History of Montbeliard .

Initially, the museum was located within the walls of the Burnier-Rossel mansion (XVIII century), and then, in 1843, most of its collections were moved to the castle of Montbeliard (XIII century). The museum is awarded the French official mark Musée de France .

Description
Montbeliard Castle History
On the ground floor of the castle there is a collection of exhibits telling about the history of the creation and reconstruction of the castle of Montbeliard , as well as about the history of the principality itself. The old main kitchen of the castle, a collection of furniture , a collection of ceramics , as well as a collection of glass products deserve mention.
Museum of Art
On the second floor, visitors will find the former apartments of the Württemberg princesses , as well as a museum of fine arts . In a separate room ( Vittini Hall ) paintings by Jules Vittini (1888-1968) are collected, representing historical reconstructions of various important events in the history of the princes of Montbeliard, as well as the city and the castle. Born in Italian Ancona , he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and settled in Montbeliard in 1932, where he lived and worked for 21 years.
Museum of Archeology and Natural History Georges Cuvier
On the third floor of the castle there are extensive collections of the Museum of Archeology and Natural History of Montbeliard , which is also known as the Museum of Georges Cuvier ).
