History
On the night of December 13-14, 1918, a mass death of sailors of the 1st Kronstadt Regiment, who fought on the side of the Red Army, took place in the village. The regiment was mobilized on October 6, 1918, on November 1 of that year was sent for military operations to the Urals in Kungur. At this time, units of the White Army were conducting an active offensive, the sailors were driven out to the north of Kungur County. The position of the Reds was complicated by the lack of warm uniforms. Thanks to the assistance of local peasants, it was possible at night to surround the village of Lower Isady, where the 1st Kronstadt Regiment was based, and to begin shelling. During the battle, more than 800 sailors died, 372 managed to escape from the encirclement. In 1961, a monument was erected to the sailors in the village; since 1984, on the day of the Navy, sailors of the Berezovsky district gather near the monument to commemorate the victims. In 2008, a book of memory was published, which lists the names of all the dead and surviving sailors.
