History

The farm appeared on the site of the settlement of the Cossacks from the village of Donskoy [3] .

In 1902, at the initiative of the Don volost foreman I. A. Borisenko, a 17.7 km long water supply was constructed with a spring water intake from the Kofanovsky spring in the vicinity of the Kofanov farm [3] .

Starting from the first half of the 1920s [4], the farm was administratively part of the Don Village Council of the Moscow District of the Stavropol District [5] .

According to the “List of Populated Places of the North Caucasus Region ” for 1925, the farm consisted of 53 yards, in which 362 people lived (167 men and 195 women). There were no party organizations, schools, libraries and industrial enterprises in it. Local residents went to the bazaar in the village of Donskoye (the center of the village council of the same name) [5] .

According to the 1926 census of the North Caucasus Territory, the farm had 26 households and 175 inhabitants (78 men and 97 women), of which all were Russians [6] .

In accordance with the lists of settlements of the Trunovsky district for 1939, 1953 and 1959, published in the publication “On the Edge of the Stavropol Heights” (2013), Kofanov was listed as part of the territory of the Klyuchevsky Village Council [3] . On June 25, 1959, by the decision of the Stavropol Territory Executive Committee, the Trunovsky and Klyuchevsky village councils were merged into the Trunovsky Village Council [3] .

During the reform of local self-government , the Trunovsky village council of the Trunovsky district of the Stavropol Territory was formed with its center in the village of Trunovsky [7] . Together with the latter, the village of Klyuchevskoye and the Kofanov farm were included in the rural settlement [8] .
