The decision to close this section of the line was made due to the new BMT Archer Avenue Line project. The very construction of the station no longer in operation stood for another five years and only at the end of 1990 was dismantled. From 10 October 1977 until the closing day, this station was the terminal and easternmost station on the line. This happened due to the closure of the site east of this station, which included three stations. Already then the reduction of the line began.
The station consisted of two side platforms and two tracks. Between the paths there was space for a third path, which, however, was not built. Had access to the intersection of Jameika Avenue and Queens Boulevard , which is named after.
