Karl Kohl (1768—?) Entered the Russian service in 1791, and commanded the grenadier battalion of the Life Guards of the Preobrazhensky Regiment . On November 17, 1798, he was promoted to major general , and on October 25, 1840, he was granted the diploma for noble dignity with posterity.
Emblem Description
Four-part shield. In the first and fourth azure parts of the golden eagle wing. In the second and third silver ones there is a heart scorched with flame, pierced by two azure criss-cross lying tilted arrows and accompanied in the upper left corner by a scarlet six-pointed star.
The shield is crowned with a noble helmet and crown. Crest: three ostrich feathers. The basting on the shield is azure, lined with gold. The coat of arms of Kolya (Kohl) is included in Part 11 of the General Tombstone of the noble families of the All-Russian Empire, p. 142.
