Geography

It was located north of Yekaterinburg , south of Nizhny Tagil in the immediate vicinity of the center of the district of the city of Nevyansk . The distance to the former center of the Ribbed Village Council is 2 km, to the nearest railway station Shural - 6 km. The nearest settlements - Ribbed , Hilly , Fedkovka .

History

In 1966, by a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of brigade No. 1 of branch No. 2 of the Nevyansky state farm was renamed Gorelsky [2] .

At the end of October 2018, the bill “On the abolition of the village of Gorelsky” was submitted to the Legislative Assembly [3] .

On December 4, 2018, the draft law on the abolition of the village was approved by the Legislative Assembly [4] [5] . On December 17, 2018, the village was abolished [6] .

At the site of the abolished village there is a shooting range 46 of the penal colony GUFSIN [7] [8] .
