Biography
Georgy Tsurtsumiya was born in 1980 in the town of Tsalendzhikha, Georgian SSR. In 1996-2001 he was a member of the junior team of Georgia, in 2000 he became the champion of Europe and the world in the age category up to 20 years.
In 2001 he moved to Kazakhstan. He trained at Dynamo ( Almaty ) with Yuri Melnichenko . Many times he became the champion of Kazakhstan and Asia, the winner and winner of a number of international tournaments. In 2004, he participated in the Olympic Games in Athens , reached the final of these competitions, where he lost to the famous Russian wrestler Hasan Baroyev and won the silver medal.
