Shebeke ( Azerb. Şəbəkə ) - windows with colorful glass filling them, created by Azerbaijani folk artists from small wooden parts without glue and nails [1] .
In the building of the Palace of Sheki Khans, shebeke fills the walls, window openings of the halls and rooms. Geometrically, the windows-shebeke pattern, as noted, is combined with the overall composition of the main facade of the palace. On the facade of the palace there are continuous stained-glass shebeks of the central halls and side rooms. It is believed that the very fact that the outer walls of the halls of both floors and the upper rooms are replaced by lifting covers, stained glass , is a feature of the architecture of this parade pavilion [2] .
Numerous residential stone houses of the 18th — 19th centuries, decorated with shebeks, existed in the city of Shusha [3] .
