Stanislav Stepashkin started boxing in his youth, but seriously began to train only as a student, which did not prevent him from becoming a champion of the Olympics in the incomplete 24 years. [one]
Member of the CPSU since 1965. He graduated from the State Center of Political Education in 1967 with a degree in teaching. He played for Labor Reserves, since 1963 CSKA (Moscow). In 1964, he won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (at the featherweight). Two - time European champion (1963, 1965), three-time USSR champion (1963, 1964, 1965).
He underwent training under the guidance of Alexander Alexandrovich Chebotarev, Honored Coach of the USSR [2] .
