He graduated from Smolensk State Institute of Physical Culture with a degree in trainer and teacher (1992). He played for Dynamo (Moscow Region). In 1996, he participated in the Summer Olympics in Atlanta , where he won a gold medal in the individual championship and a silver medal in the team championship. Bronze medalist of the 1989 World Cup in the team championship. Champion of Russia in 1994 . He was awarded the Order of Courage (1997). [one]
