Geographical position
Former Violes train station
Violes is located 27 km northeast of Avignon . Neighboring communes: Sable in the northeast, Gigondas in the east, Vakeras in the southeast, Jonquiere in the southwest, Camare-sur-Aigues and Travayan in the west.
Hydrography
In the east of the commune, Uwez flows. The southern edge of the commune is crossed by the Karpantra Canal .
