Burns, Scott (filmmaker)

Scott Burns ( English Scott Z. Burns , 1962, Golden Valley , Minnesota , USA ) is an American filmmaker, film producer and screenwriter. Known for the scripts for the films The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), Informant (2009) and Infection (2011), Matt Damon starred in all three. He was the producer of the movie The Inconvenient Truth .

Born in 1962 in the state of Minnesota in the city of Golden Valley, where he grew up [1] . In 1985, the University of Minnesota received a degree in English [2] . After that he taught at the Minneapolis Community and Technology College, as a guest lecturer. Until 2006, he worked in the advertising business as a scriptwriter and director of television commercials (among his works were advertising on the VH1 channel and advertising “Got Milk?”).

Ocean's 12 friends worked on the film, but was not indicated in the credits. At one time, he refused to invest in the Coen Brothers film “ Just Blood ”, considering such an investment too risky.

Nominated in 2008 for the BAFTA (BAFTA Award) for the film “The Bourne Ultimatum” in the category “Best British Film” along with Frank Marshall , Patrick Crowley, Paul Sandberg, Paul Greengrass , Tony Gilroy and George Nolfi .

In 2009, she nominated for the Chicago Film Critics Association award for the movie "Informant" in the category "Best Screenplay, Adaptation."
