Biography

She studied oboe and composition, solfeggio and musical theory at the State University of Fine Arts in Istanbul , at the Istanbul Academy, and then at Saarbrücken by Theo Brandmüller, in Strasbourg by Ivan Fedele . One semester in 2007, she studied with Wolfgang Rome in Karlsruhe . She studied at the Summer School of New Music in Darmstadt , with Francois Donato in IRCAM . She made her debut in Istanbul with music for performances of plays by S. Beckett and E. Bond . Written for the quartet Arditti , Ensemble Recherche . She participated in the Seda Roeder pianist project representing Turkey’s modern music Listening to Istanbul ( Istanbul hören - eine Begegnung mit zeitgenössischer türkischer Musik , 2010 ).

Lives and works in Paris.

Her works are performed by the Southwestern Radio Orchestra of Germany , the Navarre Symphony Orchestra, the National Lorraine Orchestra, Ensemble Recherche, Arditti Quartet, and other orchestras and ensembles.
