Royal Rumble 2013 is the annual PPV show hosted by WWE . The show was held on January 27, 2013 at the US Airways Center Phoenix , Arizona [1] [2] . This show was the twenty-sixth annual Royal Battle .

Preview
On July 23, 2012, Scala announced that he would fight at the 26th Royal Battle for the WWE title. Later that evening, SM Punk , John Cena and Daniel Bryan had reasons to face Rock in a duel [3] . Even later, SM Punk attacked Rock after defending his WWE Champion title against John Cena. At the first RAW of 2013, SM Punk defended his title against Raibek in a duel with tables, stairs and chairs after the Shield attacked Raibek, which means that Punk will fight against the Rock.
At the RAW New Year's show, John Cena announced that he will fight in the Royal Battle and after the victory will select the WWE Champion as an opponent in WrestleMania [4] . On January 4, at SmackDown, Randy Orton and Seamus announced their participation in the Royal Battle and that if they win, they will choose the World Champion as their opponent. On January 7, 3MB ( Heath Slater , Ginder Mahal and Drew MacIntyre ) and Dolph Siggler announced their participation in the Royal Battle. United States Champion Antonio Cesaro announced his participation in the Battle Royale on SmackDown records on January 8th. The participation of the intercontinental champion Wade Barrett became known at the anniversary RAW.
World heavyweight champion Big Show began a feud with Alberto Del Rio after knocking out his ring-announcementer Ricardo Rodriguez and disabled, which caused Ricardo to be unable to take part in the title fight. At SmackDown on January 11, Alberto Del Rio defeated the Big Show in a fight to the last on his feet and became the new Champion. At the jubilee RAW, Big Show announced that he would exercise his right to revenge on the PPV Battle Royale .
