Keenan Wynn ( English Keenan Wynn , July 27, 1916 - October 14, 1986 ) is an American character actor . Despite the fact that he rarely had to play major roles, he gained fame thanks to expressive roles in cinema and on TV.

The Early Years and Early Careers
Francis Xavier Aloysius James Jeremy Keenan Wynn was born in New York in the family of a comedian , vaudeville actor, a Jewish man, Ed Wynn and his wife, an Irish Catholic, Hilda. Francis borrowed his pseudonym from his maternal grandfather, Frank Keenan, an actor from Broadway , who became one of the first stars in Hollywood .
Personal life and recent years
Wynn was married to former actress Eve Lynn Abbott (1914–2004) before their divorce in 1947, after which Abbott married actor Van Johnson. Their one son, actor and writer Ned Wynn (née Edmond Keenan Wynn) wrote autobiographical memoirs, “We Will Always Live in Beverly Hills.” His second son, Tracy Keenan Wynn, is a screenwriter. His daughter Hilda was married to Paul Williams.
In the last years of his life he was engaged in charity work. Over the past few years, Wynn suffered from pancreatic cancer, from which he died in 1986. His remains were buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery .
