Biography
He graduated from the Leningrad State Order of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor Institute of Physical Culture. P.F. Lesgaft ( 1959 ). Organizer and founder of freestyle wrestling in Khakassia ( 1966 ).
He worked in sports organizations (since 1959). Trainer-teacher on freestyle wrestling SHVSM of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the city of Abakan (1973-1986), senior coach on freestyle wrestling of the School of Sports and Youth Sports of the Republic of Khakassia (1986-2004). Many of his students achieved great sporting results:
- I. S. Yarygin - two-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling,
- V. E. Popov - champion of the USSR among rural athletes (1974, 1975),
- A. M. Mainagashev - champion of the USSR among rural athletes (1974, 1975),
- Yu. S. Mamyshev - champion of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR (1986), prize-winner of the USSR championships (1988, 1989, 1990), participant of the World Cup (1990).
He trained more than 70 masters of sports of the USSR and Russia in freestyle wrestling. With his direct participation in Khakassia, an Olympic reserve school was created and is operating; School of Higher Sports Excellence, Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Khakassia.
For his great achievements in the development of physical culture and sports in the Republic of Khakassia, he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Khakassia" (1997). Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Tyva (1986), excellent student of physical education of the Republic of Tuva (1997). He was awarded the badge of honor “For the Development of the Olympic Movement” (1997), the Order of the Badge of Honor (1973). Veteran of labour.
The All-Russian tournament of free-style wrestling among juniors and juniors is devoted to his memory.
