Biography
Mizzi Caspar was an actress, as well as a “ subretka ”, as elite prostitutes were called in Austria-Hungary at that time. Despite other hobbies, Rudolph was connected with her by a very close relationship until his death. In 1887, Rudolph acquired for Mizzi a three-story house in Vienna for 60 thousand guilders. In addition, she received in total from the crown prince in cash and jewelry up to 130 thousand guilders [1] . Rudolph, who had lost interest in life and planned to commit suicide, suggested that Mizzi commit suicide with him, but she did not want to take her life with him and notified the police about his plans, which, however, was completely unimportant.
The Crown Prince spent his last night before the suicide committed with Baroness Maria Vechera at Mizzi Caspar. In his will, Rudolph left Mizzi 30 thousand guilders. Mizzi died of syphilis , which may have been infected by Rudolph [1] . Mizzi Caspar never gave an interview and lived in complete solitude, leaving no diaries, no letters, no memoirs.
