History
The name Peralta de la Sal first appears in medieval documents, the name given by the location of the area at the foot of a large rock. On the territory, which is now called Peralta de la Sal, lived the Catalans , who arrived from the neighboring village of Calasants, which belonged to Aragon in the XI century . Catalan attacks ended at the Momegastre castle, located on the border of this area, but attempts to further capture the territory were stopped by troops. As a result, this area became the lot of graphs from the Urgell area, which they occupied until the XIII century , when Viscount Cabrera seized power. From 1234 this region was associated with the family of Don Ramon Peralta, who held power until the XIX century .
